TEACHING PRACTICE SECOND PHASE: Second week

WEEKLY REFLECTION [July 11- July 15]

This week was with handfull experiences. I got so many classes.We got more time to interact with our students and able to understand their strength and weakness. 

School experience:

This week we got an opportunity to explore the science lab. We were so amazed because there were so many things including Compass, various types of Camera,electroscopes etc.Our mentor teacher Reeja mam was so excited to present all these things to us.I got some letters from my students I was so happy to read all their words. On Tuesday there was an awareness program in school on the topic Drug abuse. Since the program was conducted in the room that was alloted for us. Oru room has been shifted to library. The library was more spacious and comfortable for us to work. Every day at 1pm we go for serving food for children that was a quite good experience. 

Class experience:

This week I got almost 4-5 hr periods daily. Students also told to me that they were seeing me almost all the hours. I took chemistry and physics for the same class. In this week I was alloted to take physics class for 9th standard. Students in 9th class shows an interest to learn physics that made me so happy. All the students were so interactive and hyperactive sometimes we are not able to control them but sometimes they shows interest to learn and do all the works that we gave.This week I took ICT enabled class. In that class students were so active and respond answers very quickly and spontaneously. This week helps me a lot to understand and improve my teaching skills. I am very much satisfied since I gave a small amount of contribution to students learning with atmost sincere.

Weekly reflection [July 25 -July 29] This week was little bit fast moving.In this week we got 4 working days and a holiday due to karkidaka vavu.But this week help five of us to make a great bonding. Now we know each other thoroughly. This week end up with some relaxation.  School experience: Usually we get so many substitutions hours for taking class. But this week we got some relaxation. We got time to make some good chats between us. Within this works that conversations was a kind of relaxation and pleasant feel. Almost three weeks we didn't notice the pond in the school but this week we recognize the pond. Water lily was flowered and students were there at every morning to see that and also small fishes were inside that pond. Students as well as us where curious to see these things. INNOVATIVE WORK

As part of BEd curriculum, we have do an innovative work based on subject matter. For that I created a matching board which represent the concept "elements and symbols" This is a simple board which helps students to learn the symbols of elements. The elements and their corresponding symbols where connected through a thread. Each thread end is fixed with a bead. Whenever the bead connected with the element is pulled the thread connected to the corresponding symbol with began to move. And a yellow tie is collected with each symbols. By pulling the tie the paper will flip and shows the details of elements, bohr model and its crystal structure. As it is presented as a game,students will be interested to do and will engaged on teaching learning process.

TEACHING PRACTICE EXPERIENCE - NINETH WEEK

  WEEKLY REFLECTION: This week ended with hand full of memories. the week which we cant forgot. Teachers and students of SSPBHSS Kadakkavoor wished us luck. We have been their for past two months, the days had been ran so fast. Our teaching practice first phase have been ended. School experience: As a teacher trainee we got all kinds of experience from this school. This week was so much relax full we were free for most of the time only two period of extra works. Since my portion and lesson plans were completed I got enough time to conduct diagnostic test and remedial teaching. I also got a chance to take class on health education. I took nutrients and hygiene as topics. Since this was our last week in school we bought some sweets for teachers. On last day we gave a small gifts to principal and our mentor teachers.
