TEACHING PRACTICE EXPERIENCE: Sixth week

Weekly reflection [Aug 8 - Aug 12]
This week was with handful experience and good moments. A week with happiness. We were all in a Ecstatic situation. Among all these days happened in school this week was most precious one. 
School experience:
From monday to Friday we were all engaged with works and duties associated with independance day programme. On Monday we had an observation by our general teacher and we were planning for conducting a quiz programme for students on the basis of  Independence. On the same day we spend time with school teachers and took photos with them. Tuesday was holiday because of muhram. On Wednesday we fully enganed in duties, we helped students to practice dance and patriotic song. With atmost sincere we helped them to make perfect. Thursday we conducted three programmes. At 12pm we conducted a drawing competition for students. It was conducted in school auditorium. School auditorium is an open space. Lots of creativity, imagination and talents of students where projected on that segment. Unni of 10 A got first prize. And at 1:30pm we conducted a quiz programme. The programme contains three sections. First section include questions related to independence, second section is to find out the person showned in pictures and third section is to find out person showned as emojis. Quiz programme was a grand success, students activitively participated and made the programme effective. Rajalakshmi of 10B got first prize.After that we coordinate a patriotoc song competition. Only 3 group where present to participate among that students of 8B got the prize. On Friday we were fully engaged to help students to practice. On the same day a trial parade was conducted in school ground.This week new kitchen and a dining room was also opened for students. It is so neat and clean. Students come there and eat  together. In that room we can see a feel good scene of childrens sharing there food and eating together. 

Class experience:
This week I got three classess. On Monday I took class for 8A.I had an observation  by our sangeetha miss. I was tensed because of time since in that lesson plan I have to conduct two experiment and to show two videos and an activity. I was very much planned but I lost time in activity section. My students in 8A doesn't like mathematics. They feel difficult while doing problems. My activity include a problem question to solve.The show difficulties to do multiplication.Even though I explained,they took so much time. So I was not able to gave them proper assessment and follow up activity. Sangeetha miss also told me about that if I was able to limit time in activity section I would finish the class on time. And she also liked my way of teaching. I was so happy and blessed to have that words from her. On Wednesday I went to 8A and gave them notes. On Thursday same as Wednesday I gave them notes and workout some problems for them. On Friday I got two period on 9B and I took two classes with lots of daily life examples to make them clear the concepts.

INNOVATIVE WORK

As part of BEd curriculum, we have do an innovative work based on subject matter. For that I created a matching board which represent the concept "elements and symbols" This is a simple board which helps students to learn the symbols of elements. The elements and their corresponding symbols where connected through a thread. Each thread end is fixed with a bead. Whenever the bead connected with the element is pulled the thread connected to the corresponding symbol with began to move. And a yellow tie is collected with each symbols. By pulling the tie the paper will flip and shows the details of elements, bohr model and its crystal structure. As it is presented as a game,students will be interested to do and will engaged on teaching learning process.

TEACHING PRACTICE EXPERIENCE: Fourth week

Weekly reflection [July 25 -July 29] This week was little bit fast moving.In this week we got 4 working days and a holiday due to karkidaka vavu.But this week help five of us to make a great bonding. Now we know each other thoroughly. This week end up with some relaxation.  School experience: Usually we get so many substitutions hours for taking class. But this week we got some relaxation. We got time to make some good chats between us. Within this works that conversations was a kind of relaxation and pleasant feel. Almost three weeks we didn't notice the pond in the school but this week we recognize the pond. Water lily was flowered and students were there at every morning to see that and also small fishes were inside that pond. Students as well as us where curious to see these things.
